BEHIND THE MUSIC: Greta Van Fleet Unveil New Rock Anthem "TEAR IT DOWN"
Thriving rock and roll band Greta Van Fleet return to unveil their new rock anthem, "Tear It Down," out now via Republic Records. The track comes in advance of their upcoming album, PALACE FOR THE PEOPLE, out October 9.
The new single follows lead tracks "Play Your Games" and "Saw You Stand" and offers another look at their majestic new album. "Tear It Down" tempers a bold riff with pensive lyricism. On the verses Josh Kiszka confesses, "I'm searching for answers in the shifting clouds. What do we do when it gets too loud?" The chorus explodes to life and presents an answer, "Build it up when you tear it down."
Experimenting with different sounds and acoustics, guitarist Jake Kiszka offers a unique and mysterious journey throughout "Tear It Down." As the height of the track focuses on Jake's solo, Greta Van Fleet prove they're still thriving and striving to have their spiritual voices heard.

Recorded in Tennessee in Spring of 2026, the new album was co-produced by the band and Mike Elizondo (Turnstile, Eminem) and showcases a band more vibrant, cohesive and stronger than ever. Drummer Daniel Wagner shares, "The minute the four of us step into a room with the shared goal of creating, there is very little than can stop us." Bassist and keyboardist Sam Kiszka adds, "We realized the music is our palace!"
